More than three weeks into the Democrat Shutdown, Americans are finally hearing the truth straight from Democratic leadership.
House Democrat Whip Katherine Clark, the #2 Democrat in Congress, openly admitted that Democrats are intentionally inflicting pain on working families to gain political leverage.
Her words were clear: “Of course there will be families that are going to suffer … but it is one of the few leverage times we have.”
While Democrats hold the government hostage, they’re demanding $1.5 trillion in new partisan spending, including taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants and hundreds of millions for left-wing media outlets.
House Republicans already passed a clean, 24-page continuing resolution to keep the government open, pay our troops, protect our border, and maintain essential services. Senate Democrats have blocked it 11 times.
Every day this shutdown continues, it’s America’s families, service members, and small businesses who pay the price.
