Owens Backs The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Burgess Owens (UT-04) announced his support for House Republicans’ debt ceiling proposal, The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.

“We can’t get to the root of America’s debt crisis without cutting off Washington’s unlimited line of credit. Unfortunately, President Biden isn’t listening to Senator Biden, who voted to raise the debt limit with significant deficit reduction measures attached in 1985, 1987, 1993, and 1997.

“House Republicans have a plan to responsibly lift the debt ceiling into 2024 while limiting big-government spending, clawing back unspent COVID-19 funding, and rebuilding our nation’s economic security, ultimately delivering American taxpayers $4.5 trillion in savings.

“It’s time for the President to end the partisan political games and come to the table.”
