Owens Announces DOT Grant Award for Spanish Fork

WASHINGTON – Congressman Burgess Owens (UT-04) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded a $91,393 grant to the city of Spanish Fork, Utah, for improvement projects at Spanish Fork Municipal Airport.
“Utah is leading the nation in innovative and efficient transportation infrastructure, and securing this grant is a testament to our commitment to staying at the forefront,” said Rep. Owens. “I look forward to seeing the positive impact these improvement projects will have on our region and the Spanish Fork community.”
Background:
- The grant was awarded to the city of Spanish Fork as part of the FY24 Airport Improvement Program (AIP) through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- The grant will update the existing airport master plan study and include a Solid Waste Recycling Plan, ensuring that the airport’s infrastructure meets current standards and future demands.
