Chairman Owens to Hold Hearing on Innovation in Postsecondary Education
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, June 14, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, chaired by Rep. Burgess Owens (UT-04), will hold a hearing titled “Postsecondary Innovation: Preparing Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Opportunities.”
“In today’s world, the avenues in which students can access a high-quality education are boundless and rapidly changing. Postsecondary institutions must find ways to keep up with the times,” said Chair Owens. “That means finding innovative solutions to lower tuition costs, increase completion rates, and better prepare students for careers available now and in the future. This hearing will provide us with important insight on the steps postsecondary institutions are taking to keep students at the forefront of education.”
