Hi there.
I wanted to update you on a significant Supreme Court decision and our ongoing efforts to protect the integrity of Title IX—a law that has empowered women and girls for over 50 years.
Last Friday, the Supreme Court voted 5-4 to reject an emergency request from the Biden administration to enforce a radical new Title IX rule. This rule would have forced states to allow biological men into women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and dormitories, undermining the rights and privacy of women and girls. The Court’s decision is a crucial step in defending the protections Title IX has afforded since 1972.
Earlier this year, I supported H.J. Res. 165, which nullifies the Biden administration’s misguided Title IX rule. This rule threatens women’s sports by allowing biological males to compete in female categories and redefines “sex” under Title IX to include gender identity and sexual orientation, stripping away decades of hard-won protections.
House Republicans stand firmly against this ideological extremism that endangers women’s sports and the safety of women and girls. We are committed to fairness, safety, and equal opportunity for all. We won’t allow 50 years of women’s progress to be erased in the name of ‘equity.’
While the Supreme Court’s decision is a positive step, our work continues. We must ensure that educational institutions can protect women and girls without being forced into compliance with rules that deny biological reality and compromise safety.
Thank you for your continued support as we fight to preserve the protections Title IX was designed to uphold. Together, we will ensure that every woman and girl in America can train, compete, and win on a fair and level playing field.
