WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Burgess Owens (UT-04) issued the following statement regarding H.R. 4.

“H.R. 4 is not about strengthening democracy or protecting your right to vote – it is an unconstitutional power grab and the second rushed attempt to nationalize local elections, remove state authority, and centralize control in Washington. As the data reflects, many states, including Utah, have fair, transparent, and efficient processes in place, and efforts to aggressively restructure their elections are unhelpful and misguided.”
