Owens Announces $255,000 DOJ Grant Award for Juab County Sheriff’s Office

WASHINGTON Congressman Burgess Owens (UT-04) announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded a $255,000 grant to the Juab County Sheriff’s Office. This funding, secured as part of the FY24 Congressionally Directed Spending, will be utilized for critical police equipment and technology upgrades.

Ensuring that our law enforcement agencies have up to date tools and resources is vital to the safety and well-being of our communities,” said Rep. Owens. “This grant will enable the Juab County Sheriff’s Office to enhance their operations, providing them with the tools necessary to effectively serve and protect the people of Juab County.”

Background:

The grant is provided through the Office of Justice Programs (OJP), which is dedicated to improving the nation’s capacity to prevent and reduce crime, assist victims, and advance equity in the administration of justice. 

The $255,000 will be directed towards upgrading police equipment and technology, ensuring that the Juab County Sheriff’s Office remains well-equipped to address the needs of the community.
