Eliminating Mandates
One of the most important jobs I have as a Member of Congress is helping to make government work better.  As part of this effort, I am always looking for ways to eliminate government mandates that just don't make sense. Since coming to Congress, I have successfully responded to constituent complaints over government mandates, such as onerous OSHA regulations governing noise pollution in factories and a requirement that auto-dealers provide an obsolete booklet of vehicle information to their customers.  In both of these cases, my office and I were successful in overturning the regulations either by working with individual government agencies or changing the law.

Since then, I have continued to hear from constituents concerned that government mandates were causing problems for and hurting the bottom lines of individuals and families across the district.  Below you will find a form that allows you to suggest government mandates that should be overturned.  Please take the time to enter your information along with your idea for what government mandates we should eliminate in Congress.

I always appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.  Please feel free to call us in the Washington office at 202-225-4611 if you have any questions.  I look forward to hearing from you.
